Santhosh Narayanan, a celebrated music composer in South Indian films, is all set to make his mark in Bollywood. Known for his innovative work in Tamil cinema with hits like Attakathi, Kabali, and Jigarthanda, this new chapter in his career is highly anticipated.
Recently, Santhosh composed the music for the film Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, featuring stars like Prabhas and Kamal Haasan. The soundtrack received rave reviews, enhancing his reputation and leading to his invitation to work on a Bollywood production.
He is now joining the team behind Sikandar, a film directed by AR Murugadoss, with Bollywood icon Salman Khan in the lead. The cast also includes popular actors Rashmika Mandanna, Suniel Shetty, and Sathyaraj. Reports suggest that while Santhosh will create the background score for the film, Pritam is set to compose the songs. This collaboration marks Pritam’s sixth project with Salman Khan.
The filming of Sikandar kicked off in June 2024, with shooting locations in Mumbai and Europe. Salman Khan has been preparing for thrilling action scenes in the film. The release is expected around Eid al-Fitr in 2025, generating excitement due to its impressive cast and creative team.
In addition to his Bollywood venture, Santhosh is also working on the music for Suriya 44, helmed by director Karthik Subbaraj. His transition into Bollywood showcases the increasing acknowledgment of South Indian talent in Hindi cinema.
