Anupam Kher has successfully wrapped up the first shooting schedule of his new film Shri Ram Bhoomi in Ayodhya. On July 17, 2026, the renowned actor shared a heartfelt message on social media, capturing the profound impact of his experience in this sacred city and describing it as a spiritually and personally enriching journey.
In the film, Kher takes on the role of Ashok Singhal, a notable leader of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). Reflecting on his time in Ayodhya, Kher mentioned that as he left, it felt like a piece of him remained there.
He expressed that Ayodhya is more than just a place; it’s filled with deep emotions. Sharing moments from his shoot, he noted in Hindi that he was returning with cherished memories and a richer understanding of Sanatan Dharma. He feels proud to be part of a movie that aims to present both history and faith authentically.
Kher beautifully described Ayodhya, saying, “It is not just a city; it is an emotion. Every street, every corner, and every temple here resonates with the name of Shri Ram.”
