Fauquier Health Earns Recognition for Excellence in Hip and Knee Replacements
Fauquier Health has achieved recognition from the Joint Commission after undergoing a thorough, unannounced review. During this assessment, a Joint Commission reviewer checked how well the health system meets important certification standards related to managing programs and delivering clinical care. These standards are designed with input from healthcare experts, patients, and measurement specialists.
Ken Grubbs, the Joint Commission’s executive vice president of accreditation and certification operations, praised Fauquier Health for its commitment to improving patient safety and care quality. “The Total Hip and Knee Replacement Certification reflects the hard work of healthcare organizations dedicated to excellence,” he said. He commended Fauquier Health for enhancing its clinical programs, aiming for safer and more compassionate care for patients.
Located in Warrenton, Fauquier Health has also recently incorporated advanced robotic technology for knee replacements. In addition, the health system has received the “Blue Distinction Center+” designation from Blue Cross Blue Shield, recognizing it for excellence in knee and hip replacement surgeries. This designation highlights the quality of care, treatment expertise, and better patient outcomes that the health system offers.
