Legislators Visit Arkansas Governor’s School at Arkansas Tech University

On July 9, ten members of the Arkansas General Assembly joined students at the Arkansas Governor’s School (AGS) held at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville.

Among those attending were several current and incoming legislators, including Reps. Brian Armas from Pea Ridge, Karilyn Brown from Sherwood, Matt Duffield from Russellville, James Eaton from Huntsville, Nicole Clowney from Fayetteville, Denise Ennett from Little Rock, Zack Gramlich from Fort Smith, and Julie Mayberry from East End. They were joined by Senator Dan Sullivan from Jonesboro and Rep.-elect Bill Teeter from Russellville.

The group participated in a presentation led by Dr. Jacob Grosskopf, the AGS director, and had the opportunity to interact with AGS students from their respective areas of representation.

The 47th Arkansas Governor’s School kicked off on July 5 and will run through August 1. This marks the eighth year that Arkansas Tech University has hosted this exciting program tailored for rising high school seniors in the state.

For more information, you can visit the Arkansas Tech website.
