New Patent Aims to Create Safe AI-Driven Microcities for Veterans

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — On July 5, 2026, innovators in public health and addiction recovery unveiled a significant new patent application with the U.S. Government. This initiative introduces the QAIAx TDC Model Code, a comprehensive safety guideline aimed at those working in innovative, dome-shaped communities known as “Microcities.”

This project is part of a clinical trial recognized by the National Institutes of Health (Trial ID: NCT07661823). The trial will explore how everyday people can safely interact and collaborate with advanced Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). Each Microcity, accommodating between 1,500 and 15,000 residents, will require human workers—students and professionals alike—to complete a 220-hour intensive training course to obtain a QAIA Pro License. This certification is designed for various licensed professionals, including doctors and attorneys.

A Modern Take on Recognizing Skills

Experts see the QAIAx Pro License as the next evolution of the certification programs popular during the rise of personal computing in the 1980s and 1990s. Back then, tech companies needed a way to prove that individuals could operate computers, leading to certifications like:

  • Novell CNE (Certified NetWare Engineer): Taught users how to connect computers in an office.
  • Microsoft MCSE (Certified Systems Engineer): Verified that an individual could manage Windows servers.
  • Cisco CCNA (Certified Network Associate): Certified engineers in setting up internet routers.

Unlike those older certifications, which focused on fixing machines, the new QAIAx Pro License centers on managing self-operating systems. The patent outlines a 90/10 Hybrid Workforce Model, where supercomputers will autonomously handle 90% of city operations—such as recycling, air purification, and robotic farming—leaving humans to monitor and ensure everything runs smoothly.

Next-Level Security Measures

The technology described in this patent (UPSTO App. No. 64/105,164) goes beyond the basic security measures of the past. Key features include:

  • Freeze Protection: The city’s digital keys are stored in a quantum computer maintained at extreme cold. If someone attempts to access it unlawfully, the freezing mechanism will erase the keys in just a millisecond.
  • Human Oversight: AGI cannot make medical or legal decisions independently. Only licensed personnel with high-security badges can authorize significant actions.
  • Robust Privacy: Before any individual’s data reaches the central system, it goes through an automatic anonymization process that removes sensitive information, ensuring residents retain their privacy. They can also choose to consult with a human professional instead of interacting with AI.

Target Audience and Enrollment Information

The main aim of this trial is to develop a secure network of these Microcities, focusing particularly on providing housing and healthcare for military veterans. Supported by organizations such as the Veterans Recovery Network and AI-119 Vulcan PRETCO, the patent aims to ensure that all data, robotic systems, and residents are fully protected in accordance with federal regulations.

For veterans interested in participating, the Veterans Recovery Network has opened a waiting list as of June 29, 2026, with plans to start enrollment in mid-August 2026.

For more information about joining the program, internship opportunities, or sponsorship, interested parties can reach out via phone or the Veterans Recovery Network’s official website.
