Dr. Samin K. Sharma Appointed Chief of Clinical Cardiology at Mount Sinai

New York: Dr. Samin K. Sharma has received widespread acclaim for his recent appointment as the Chief of Clinical Cardiology at the Mount Sinai Health System. Dr. Purnima Voria, the Founder and CEO of the National U.S.-India Chamber of Commerce (NUICC), expressed her heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Sharma, recognizing this role as a deserving acknowledgment of his remarkable leadership in interventional cardiology and his steadfast commitment to patient care.

“In his work, Dr. Sharma has not only advanced cardiovascular medicine but has also inspired many around the world, especially in the Indian community,” stated Dr. Voria. She also congratulated him on his new position as Vice President of the Rajasthan Foundation USA Inc. This role signifies his dedication to serving the community and connecting Rajasthan with its citizens abroad.

Organizations like the Rajasthan Association of North America (RANA) and Jaipur Foot USA have also celebrated Dr. Sharma’s achievement. RANA President Prem Bhandari highlighted that this appointment brings pride not just to Rajasthan, but to India and the U.S. as well. “Dr. Sharma’s exceptional work in the field has made him a respected figure internationally,” he said.

Dr. Sharma’s contributions extend beyond his clinical role. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he helped send essential medical supplies to India, including ventilators and medicines, demonstrating his commitment to global health.

Furthermore, Dr. Sharma founded the EHCC Hospital in Jaipur nearly two decades ago, which now serves a wide range of patients seeking advanced cardiac care. The facility has played a crucial role in providing world-class treatment to those in need.

As noted by Haridas Kotahwala, a prominent figure in the gemstone business and a community leader, Dr. Sharma’s appointment is a testament to his capabilities. “He truly deserves this position, and we are proud to have someone of his caliber represent us,” said Kotahwala.

Dr. Sharma’s journey and accomplishments continue to inspire many within the medical community and the Indian diaspora, paving the way for future innovations in healthcare.
