Magron: A New Hope in Electric Mobility

Magron, officially known as Magron Novus Private Limited, is not just another budget commuter brand. Instead, it aims to be a leader in technology-driven performance in the global electric vehicle market.

Currently, Magron offers two models: the H-35 and the C-20 Talon. Each targets different parts of the market, yet they share a common software system and showcase a unique feature for India—wireless charging.

Performance Specs: H-35 and C-20 Talon

The H-35 packs a punch with 35 kW of power and 90 Nm of torque, using a 12.2 kWh battery that offers a real-world range between 175 to 225 km. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 170 km/h, making it a strong contender in the performance sector. Charging time with the 6.6 kW fast charger is about 1 hour and 50 minutes, while the 3.3 kW wireless charger offers a convenient, cable-free option. For enthusiasts, there’s also a limited edition model called the H-35 Carbon, known as “The Night Fury.”

The C-20 Talon aims at a broader audience, delivering 22.5 kW and 60 Nm of torque. This model boasts a claimed range of 200 to 250 km, depending on the battery size (8 or 10 kWh). It accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and has a top speed of 125 km/h. Like the H-35, it supports both fast and wireless charging. Magron describes this model as straightforward and practical, without unnecessary features. A sleek black version called the C-20 Stealth is also available.

Innovative Software Ecosystem

What truly sets Magron apart from many other electric two-wheeler brands in India is its advanced software. Their Techverse ecosystem includes three main parts:

  1. Novus – The vehicle operating system.
  2. Shift – An AI platform that enhances vehicle dynamics.
  3. MIVA – The Magron Intelligent Virtual Assistant that handles voice commands, real-time ride data, and even suggests charging stops based on ride patterns.

Additionally, a connectivity platform named Novus Connect integrates all these features seamlessly.

Strong Partnerships and Future Outlook

Magron has partnered with technology giants like Google and AWS, and works closely with top management schools like IIM Bangalore and IIM Lucknow, which adds a layer of credibility to their business model.

Magron confidently states, “We combine aspirational design with cost-efficient engineering, creating electric vehicles that can be copied in part, but never in full.” However, it’s important to note that both the H-35 and C-20 Talon are still in the pre-order phase and have yet to enter production. The performance numbers and technological claims will need to be validated in real-world conditions.

Looking Ahead

Magron is venturing into a space where most Indian electric vehicle brands have stuck to the basic commuter model. By focusing on smart technology, wireless charging, and competitive performance, Magron is definitely a brand to keep an eye on in the Indian electric motorcycle landscape.

Note: As of now, Magron’s models are not in production, and performance figures are based on the company’s claims.
