India Pavilion Launches at Summer Fancy Food Show in NYC

On June 28, 2026, the India Pavilion was officially opened at the Summer Fancy Food Show at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The event is set to run for three days, concluding on June 30.

The pavilion’s launch was a collaborative effort between multiple organizations, including APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority), the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), and the All India Rice Exporters Association (AIREA).

Among the notable attendees were India’s Consul General in New York, Binaya Srikanta Pradhan, Dr. Abhishek Dev, Chairman of APEDA, Dr. Neeraj Kharwal, Managing Director of ITPO, and renowned chef Vikas Khanna. More than 70 exhibitors from India showcased their offerings during the event.

Consul General Pradhan took the time to meet with each exhibitor, aiming to enhance their business prospects in the U.S. market. He engaged with exporters of popular Indian food items, including Basmati rice and ready-to-eat meals, highlighting the growing demand for Indian cuisine in the United States.

The opening ceremony not only marked a significant moment for Indian food exporters but also celebrated the rich culinary traditions that India brings to the international stage.
