Washington: U.S. Strikes Target Iranian Military Sites
The United States conducted more airstrikes against Iran on Saturday, according to the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM). These strikes aimed at several locations, particularly focusing on military surveillance systems.
CENTCOM stated, “Today’s strikes are a direct response to ongoing Iranian threats to commercial shipping.”
This action follows previous U.S. strikes that were prompted by an Iranian attack on the vessel M/V Ever Lovely. Despite being offered an opportunity to maintain a ceasefire, Iran chose to attack again, using a one-way drone that struck the M/T Kiku early this morning.
