New Coordination Committee Established to Combat Divisive Forces in India
Chandigarh: A new committee has been formed, bringing together representatives from Punjab, Haryana, and western Uttar Pradesh, to address what they describe as "divisive forces" in India. This initiative was launched during the Sada Bhaichara (Unity Conference), hosted by Misl Satluj, a socio-political organization, at Kisan Bhawan in Chandigarh.
During the event, speakers emphasized the need for unity in opposing the divisive politics associated with the BJP and RSS. Supreme Court lawyer Mahmood Parcha highlighted the importance of returning to traditional voting methods, advocating for the use of ballot papers instead of electronic voting machines (EVMs). He rallied the audience with the slogan, "EVM hatao, ballot paper lao," urging for a shift back to ballots.
This gathering signifies a collective effort to strengthen community bonds and challenge the political currents that many feel threaten communal harmony in the region.
