Janhvi Kapoor Scores Big Paycheck for ‘Peddi’
In a recent revelation amidst discussions about her role in the movie Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu, Janhvi Kapoor has secured her highest paycheck to date. Sources in the industry suggest that the actress received ₹8 crores for her role as the female lead, starring alongside Ram Charan.
This paycheck marks a significant increase, as she previously earned ₹5 crores for her role in Devara. According to trade experts, this represents a jump of about 50% in her earnings. Janhvi’s growing success in the Telugu film industry, following her performances in both Devara and Peddi, has led many to view her as a rising star, often referred to as the “woman with a golden leg” due to her impressive success rate.
Looking ahead, Janhvi is set to appear in Raka, directed by Atlee, alongside Allu Arjun. In Hindi cinema, she will be featured in Lag Ja Gale with Tiger Shroff and Lakshya. Industry insiders note that her recent success has opened doors to numerous projects in Telugu, with her earnings from Peddi setting a new standard for female actors in the industry.
While Peddi has achieved success in Telugu, the Hindi version has not received the same attention.
