AEROMAN Expands into Largest Aircraft Maintenance Center in the World
SAN LUIS TALPA, El Salvador — On April 16, 2026, President Nayib Bukele celebrated the opening of Hangar 7 with Alejandro Echeverría, the CEO of AEROMAN, and several other dignitaries. This new facility marks AEROMAN as the largest aircraft maintenance center situated in a single location worldwide.
The ceremony highlighted the completion of an ambitious project that not only boosts AEROMAN’s maintenance capabilities but also cements El Salvador’s status in the global aviation maintenance sector. It took about 15 months to finish the project, which was completed on time and within budget.
Echeverría expressed gratitude to President Bukele for his support and emphasized the significance of this development for both the country and the aviation industry.
In his remarks, Echeverría stated, “I present to you the largest hangar on the entire American continent, the largest maintenance base at a single site, possibly the largest in the world, for the benefit of the Salvadoran people.”
President Bukele described this expansion as a major step forward for El Salvador’s aviation industry. “AEROMAN becomes the largest aircraft maintenance center in the world,” he said, adding that it fills the nation with pride to have such a facility.
The president pointed out that the aviation sector offers high-quality jobs, encourages economic growth, boosts tourism, and improves mobility. He also viewed this project as a step toward attracting more investment and fostering private enterprise.
“This is a country that is pro-investment, pro-business, with secure investments, legal certainty, and physical security,” Bukele added. He also assured potential investors of the political stability and consistent economic policies in place, which foster a reliable business atmosphere.
President Bukele extended an invitation to both local and international companies to invest in El Salvador, stressing the need for continued development in important industries.
“The key is to keep moving forward, expanding opportunities, strengthening sectors like aviation, and making El Salvador a global leader,” he said.
The expansion of Hangar 7 is set to enhance AEROMAN’s operations and fortify the company’s position in the international aviation maintenance market. Officials anticipate that this new project will lead to job creation, increased economic activity, and further development of El Salvador’s aerospace industry.
