President Trump to Undergo Annual Medical Checkup at Walter Reed
Washington — President Trump is set to visit Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for his annual dental and medical evaluations, according to the White House. This visit, scheduled for Tuesday, was first announced on May 11.
The trip will focus on his routine health assessments, which are part of his regular preventative healthcare. During his visit, the president is also expected to meet with service members and staff at the facility.
This upcoming appointment follows his October visit to Walter Reed, where he underwent a routine checkup and a follow-up examination after his annual physical in April 2025. Ahead of the October visit, Trump described it as a “semi-annual physical.”
On May 2, the White House disclosed that the president had a scheduled dental appointment in Florida. However, the reason for his annual dental examination has not been clarified.
In July, it was revealed that the president suffers from chronic venous insufficiency, a common condition that affects blood flow in the legs. While it isn’t a serious health threat, it can cause discomfort and limitations. Doctors have confirmed that he shows no signs of more serious conditions like deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease, and he continues to be in “excellent” overall health.
While the president has access to medical care at the White House, he typically goes to Walter Reed for more thorough evaluations.
Next month, President Trump will celebrate his 80th birthday.
