On May 8, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) granted a U/A 16+ certificate to the film Chand Mera Dil, confirming its runtime as 135.36 minutes, or 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Recently, it was announced that the movie will be extended by an additional 11 minutes. On May 20, the film’s team approached the CBFC again to get approval for new scenes they wanted to add. After reviewing the changes, the board approved the extended version.

In total, the film will now include 8 new scenes. Some of these scenes are quite brief, lasting only 9 to 35 seconds, while others are longer, with the longest one reaching 3 minutes and 55 seconds. Overall, the new scenes add up to 10 minutes and 17 seconds, bringing the complete runtime to 145.53 minutes, or 2 hours and 25 minutes.

Chand Mera Dil features actors Lakshya and Ananya Panday, directed by Vivek Soni, known for his previous works including Meenakshi Sundareshwar and Aap Jaisa Koi. The film is produced by various prominent names, including Karan Johar and Hiroo Yash Johar.

In terms of ticket pricing, all shows on the release day, May 22, will cost Rs. 149 until 5:00 PM, after which the price will increase to Rs. 199. Advance bookings are still pending in several theaters, especially in Mumbai, but some locations have already started their sales.

An exhibitor shared that while the team behind Chand Mera Dil has been accommodating regarding show demands, the Marathi film Deool Band 2 has surprisingly gained more traction in certain areas. The new runtime of Chand Mera Dil has prompted some theaters to adjust their schedules accordingly, but bookings are expected to open soon.

Stay tuned for further updates as the film approaches its release date.
