Marriott International and The Fern Hotels Celebrate Major Growth in India

New Delhi, India – May 21, 2026 – Marriott International, Inc. has proudly announced significant achievements for The Fern Hotels & Resorts, Series by Marriott in India. In less than six months since their launch in November 2025, the brand has signed 75 hotels and opened 50 of them, adding over 3,556 rooms to Marriott’s offerings in India. This swift expansion highlights the strong demand for quality accommodations across various market segments.

Kiran Andicot, Senior Vice President of Marriott International for South Asia, remarked, “Launching Series by Marriott in India was aimed at rapid growth and meaningful impact. Hitting 75 signings and having 50 hotels open in under half a year reflects our commitment to this vision. India is proving to be a key player in the brand’s journey.”

The Fern Hotels & Resorts has played a vital role in this success, combining local authenticity with a commitment to responsible hospitality. Together, the hotel portfolio now includes 43 cities and spans a variety of market tiers across the country, ensuring a balanced presence.

Suhail Kannampilly, Managing Director of Concept Hospitality, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, “While reaching 75 signed hotels is impressive, we take greater pride in those already open, actively serving guests, and building loyalty. The partnership between The Fern’s deep-rooted hospitality and Marriott’s global standards resonates well with both hotel owners and guests.”

Series by Marriott aims to cater to modern travelers seeking comfortable yet authentic experiences. Each hotel reflects its local surroundings, from heritage sites to bustling business hubs, while maintaining Marriott’s high-quality standards.

Newly opened properties include The Fern Mumbai, Goregaon, The Fern Jaipur, and The Fern Habitat Goa, among others. Each destination offers thoughtful experiences, such as breakfast options for early risers, special amenities for female travelers, and local treats during evening turn-down service.

Guests at The Fern Hotels & Resorts can also look forward to participating in the Marriott Bonvoy® program, which rewards members for their stays and provides unique travel benefits through a user-friendly app.

Overall, the partnership between Marriott International and The Fern Hotels marks an exciting chapter in India’s hospitality scene, promising a blend of local charm and global presence for years to come.
