Aayush Sharma has officially joined the cast of the upcoming supernatural thriller Ragini 3, which stars Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead role. According to reports, producer Ektaa Kapoor has cast Aayush for a crucial part in this latest chapter of the popular Ragini series.
The film will be directed by Shashanka Ghosh, and with Aayush now signed on, the main cast is set. Alongside him, Junaid Khan and Nargis Fakhri will also play significant roles. Reports suggest that Tamannaah’s character will have romantic storylines involving both Aayush and Junaid, while Nargis is set to portray a police officer.
In a shift from previous films in the series, Ragini 3 will not follow the horror-erotic themes that have characterized earlier installments. Instead, it aims to present a high-concept supernatural thriller with an emphasis on suspense, humor, and supernatural elements. The filmmakers seek to provide a “date night horror” experience for moviegoers.
The project faced some delays when its original director, Sahir Raza, stepped down due to scheduling conflicts with a Netflix series. While filming was initially planned to start in January 2026, production was pushed back after the directorial change. Now under Shashanka Ghosh’s direction, the film has resumed its pre-production activities and is expected to commence shooting in July 2026.
The team hopes to release the movie in theaters later this year.
In the meantime, Tamannaah Bhatia has a busy schedule ahead. She will next appear opposite Sidharth Malhotra in Vvan: Force of the Forest, set to release on August 28, 2026.
