Exciting Start for Michael: Over 1 Lakh Tickets Sold!

In great news for fans, the highly anticipated Hollywood musical Michael has made a strong debut at the box office in India. Just yesterday, reports indicated that the film had already sold 78,000 tickets for its opening weekend and paid previews. Now, that number has soared even higher.

Recent updates reveal that Michael has surpassed the impressive milestone of 1 lakh ticket sales for the weekend, showcasing the buzz around this Michael Jackson biopic. Notably, around 28,500 tickets were sold for paid previews alone, generating a remarkable gross of nearly Rs. 97 lakhs. With spot bookings still ongoing, these collections are expected to exceed the Rs. 1 crore mark.

Overall, the total ticket sales, including both paid previews and weekend shows, have reached around 1.13 lakh tickets, translating to a strong gross collection of Rs. 4.30 crore. A standout location is Hyderabad, where the famed Prasads multiplex has achieved impressive sales of 7,300 tickets. Another highlight is Allu Arjun’s ALLU Cinemas, which has sold 6,500 tickets, outperforming several established theater chains.

While there were concerns regarding negative reviews from foreign critics, it hasn’t affected the excitement surrounding the film. The special screening held yesterday in Mumbai’s IMAX Wadala was met with enthusiasm. Many attendees expressed surprise at the harsh international reviews, and local audiences seem eager to embrace the film when it officially releases.

The momentum for Michael looks promising, paving the way for what could be a successful run at the box office.
