Israeli Defence Minister Discusses Campaign Against Hezbollah
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz shared insights on Tuesday about Israel’s ongoing efforts in Lebanon. He explained that the country is employing both military action and diplomatic efforts to tackle the threat posed by Hezbollah, the Iran-supported militia.
Katz emphasized that the primary aim of these efforts is to disarm Hezbollah and protect communities in northern Israel. He made these remarks during a ceremony dedicated to honoring fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism in Israel.
Despite a ceasefire agreement that began last Friday, Israeli forces remain active in southern Lebanon, continuing their operations against Hezbollah. Katz noted on Sunday that if Israeli troops face any danger, they are prepared to respond with “full force.”
