Yogi Adityanath Criticizes Congress, Celebrates BJP’s Growth at Foundation Day Event

Gorakhpur: During the BJP’s 47th Foundation Day celebration held at Mansarovar Ramlila Maidan, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath delivered a strong message, emphasizing that BJP members prioritize the nation and society. He accused the Congress party of having a “separatist mindset” and of betraying the country in the years following Independence.

Yogi highlighted that the BJP’s growth into the world’s largest political party is due to its founders’ principles and the commitment of its members. He invited all nationalists to join the BJP to further India’s development.

Focusing on Congress, the Chief Minister claimed that their policies after Independence displayed a lack of dedication to national unity. He pointed to issues like the permit system and the special status granted to Jammu and Kashmir, stating that Shyama Prasad Mukherjee had opposed such policies fiercely and sacrificed his life for the cause of unity.

The CM also paid tribute to Deendayal Upadhyaya, acknowledging his contribution to the idea of “antyodaya,” which focuses on uplifting the last person in society. Yogi reminded the audience that the BJP was established under Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1980 and achieved power in just 16 years, showcasing the public’s trust in its “nation first” ideology.

He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his leadership since 2014, referencing significant decisions like the abrogation of Article 370 and the various welfare programs aimed at assisting the underprivileged. Yogi outlined a series of initiatives planned until April 14, which marks the birth anniversary of B.R. Ambedkar, including cleanliness campaigns and improvements to memorials.

MP Ravi Kishan reiterated the “nation first” theme during the event, and the Chief Minister also honored veteran workers from the Jana Sangh era for their contributions.
