Big Boy Toyz (BBT) has made a significant move in India’s luxury car market with the launch of Auction House by Big Boy Toyz. This new platform aims to be a premium space for high-value collectible items. One of the exciting features of this launch is the listing of luxury cars that once belonged to celebrities, including actress Shilpa Shetty and filmmaker Rohit Shetty.
The auction platform currently highlights Shilpa Shetty’s Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 and Rohit Shetty’s Mercedes-Benz CLA 200D. This initiative is part of BBT’s larger goal to formalize the luxury collectibles market in India, focusing on verified transactions for cars, watches, exclusive number plates, and other valuable assets.
In an impressive start, the Auction House hosted a record auction where a VIP number plate, DDC 0001, sold for Rs 2.08 crores. The winning bidder, Kiran Kolipakula from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, shows that there is a growing interest in luxury items even outside major cities.
Jatin Ahuja, the Founder and Managing Director of Big Boy Toyz, emphasized the importance of trust in their nearly two-decade-long journey. He noted that the successful auction of DDC 0001 highlights the need for transparency when dealing with valuable assets.
The Auction House by Big Boy Toyz aims to support both sellers and buyers by providing curated access for affluent collectors and comprehensive transaction assistance. The platform not only features celebrity-owned cars but also includes premium watches, exclusive number plates, and rare mobile numbers, with plans to branch out into art, collectibles, and luxury real estate in the future.
