The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has announced that Robert Vadra, the husband of Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and son-in-law of Sonia Gandhi, is now considered an accused in a black money case. This case is linked to Sanjay Bhandari, a UK-based arms consultant. The ED submitted a detailed complaint similar to a chargesheet to a special court in Rouse Avenue on November 15. The hearing is scheduled for December 6.
In another significant development, investigators have revealed that Muzammil Ahmad Ganai, one of the doctors arrested in connection with a terror module related to the Red Fort blast, received 42 bomb-making videos through encrypted messaging apps. These videos were sent by a foreign handler linked to the module. Ganai was associated with Umar Nabi, the person behind the blast. Security agencies are closely examining the identities and roles of these handlers, suspecting their involvement in guiding the module toward carrying out DIY bombings in India.
In the business sector, Reliance Industries has stopped importing Russian crude oil to comply with the European Union’s ban on petroleum products derived from Russian oil. The company operates the largest single-location refining complex in Jamnagar, Gujarat, which includes two refineries, one dedicated to fuel exports. Reliance is a major player in India’s fuel export market and has been a key importer of Russian crude, contributing to about half of all Russian oil imports into the country.
