At the Globetrotter event in Hyderabad, actor Prithviraj Sukumaran captured everyone’s attention with his enthusiastic speech, attended by notable figures including S.S. Rajamouli, M.M. Keeravani, Mahesh Babu, and Priyanka Chopra.
Prithviraj kicked off his address by expressing his gratitude to M.M. Keeravani for composing a theme inspired by his character. He shared, “Listening to your timeless classics in Malayalam cinema was a big part of my upbringing. Collaborating with you on a film is a true honor.”
He reminisced about a pivotal moment from a couple of years ago when he received a message from director S.S. Rajamouli, inviting him to play the antagonist in an upcoming film. “His message said, ‘Hi Prithvi, the character of the antagonist has turned out really well. Would you be interested in doing it?’ I still have that message saved,” he recalled.
With excitement evident in his voice, Prithviraj noted, “I responded casually, but I’m sure he sensed my enthusiasm. Soon, I found myself in his office, starting the narration that my friend Prabhas had hyped up. Within the first five minutes, I was captivated. The incredible scale, vision, and ambition felt like experiencing the latest edition of my favorite comic book for the very first time.”
He continued to marvel at Rajamouli’s creativity. “I was left wondering how someone can think like this and where they find inspiration for such vivid imagery.”
Highlighting his admiration for Rajamouli, Prithviraj expressed, “He placed his trust in me with this complex character, and I’m grateful for his belief in me, even during the challenging parts of the process.”
Next, he shifted his focus to Mahesh Babu, reminiscing about the first Telugu film he ever watched, Pokiri. “The way you have embraced your heritage and built your legacy is truly inspiring. You genuinely deserve this film,” he stated.
Turning to Priyanka Chopra, he shared his admiration. “I have always been a huge fan. Your role as Jhilmil in Barfi is one of the greatest performances by an Indian actor in my opinion. Observing your transformation into Mandakini has been a privilege.”
In conclusion, Prithviraj remarked, “This is S.S. Rajamouli pushing the boundaries of Indian cinema once again. This time, it’s even bigger and more ambitious than before.”
As excitement builds for the film’s release, fans eagerly await to see the results of this remarkable collaboration.
