Shah Rukh Khan Celebrates the Launch of Shahrukhz By Danube Tower in Mumbai
In a grand event on November 14, Rizwan Sajan, the founder and chairman of Danube Group, unveiled a new tower named after the legendary Shah Rukh Khan in Mumbai. The skyscraper, called Shahrukhz By Danube, was launched with a heartwarming presence from SRK himself, who delighted the audience with his charm and wit.
At the launch, Rizwan Sajan shared some touching moments about his connection with Shah Rukh, mentioning a heartfelt Zoom call he had with his wife when she fell sick. The atmosphere kicked up a notch when King Khan made his entrance, bringing smiles and laughter to the attendees.
Shah Rukh Khan greeted Rizwan warmly, even giving a kiss on the cheek to the host, Farah Khan, who playfully asked for another kiss, making the audience chuckle. SRK then joked, “I have become like Eid ka chand. I come out less often, but when I do, it’s something special!” Laughter and applause erupted, reflecting the love and appreciation for the star.
Speaking about the venue, Shah Rukh noted that he initially thought the event would be in Dubai but was thrilled to hear that it would take place in Mumbai, stating, “My country is very dear to me.”
Rizwan’s son, Adel Sajan, who is the Managing Director of Danube Group, elaborated on the features of the Shahrukhz By Danube tower, highlighting that it will be a 55-story office building complete with a helipad and an air taxi station. They aim to attract visitors, stating that the tower is not just for offices but is designed to be a tourist attraction.
An exciting detail is that the entrance of the tower will feature a statue of Shah Rukh Khan in his iconic pose, designed to draw visitors who want to snap a photo with the King. Adel expressed the hope that just as many people visit Mannat in Mumbai, they would flock to Shahrukhz in Dubai.
After the presentation, SRK shared his feelings about the honor. Emotionally, he stated, “If my mother were alive, she would be so happy! It’s a huge honor. When I bring my kids to Dubai, I can proudly say, ‘Look, this is your dad’s building,’ even if it’s owned by Rizwan bhai!”
The celebration marked a significant moment, honoring not just Shah Rukh Khan’s stardom, but also celebrating his connection to fans around the world.
