The filming of Cocktail 2, featuring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna, has been delayed in Delhi. This postponement comes in response to the city’s poor air quality and increased security following a recent explosion near the Red Fort.
Initially, the cast and crew were scheduled to begin a week-long shoot from November 12. However, reports indicate that the rising Air Quality Index (AQI) and the security situation have led the production team to rethink their plans.
An insider shared that the team had hoped to film in Old Delhi, but multiple factors, including air pollution and safety concerns, influenced the decision to delay. Fortunately, this schedule change is not a cancellation, and plans are in place to resume filming in December if conditions improve. The new dates are expected to be finalized by the end of the month.
Directed by Homi Adajania, Cocktail 2 is the sequel to the successful 2012 film Cocktail, which featured Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty. The original film marked a significant milestone in Deepika’s career, achieving both box office success and critical praise.
As of now, the official release date for Cocktail 2 has not been confirmed.
