A model and former Miss Universe contestant from Russia, Kseniya Alexandrova, tragically passed away due to injuries from an accident involving an elk. The incident took place on July 5 while she was traveling with her husband in Tver Oblast, Russia. Reports indicate that she suffered severe brain injuries and remained in a coma until her death on August 12.
The couple was driving home from Rzhev when the elk collided with their Porsche Panamera on the M-9 highway. Her husband stated that there was little time to react, as the animal jumped in front of their vehicle unexpectedly, despite them both wearing seatbelts and driving at a cautious speed.
In a heartfelt statement, he recalled the moment of impact: “From the moment it jumped out to the impact, a split second passed. I didn’t have time to do anything.” Alexandrova, seated in the passenger side, suffered a devastating head injury when the elk crashed through the windshield. Her husband described the scene as horrifying, with significant injuries to her skull.
The couple had only been married for four months, and Alexandrova was also known for her work as a psychologist, holding a degree from Moscow Pedagogical State University. She represented Russia in the 2017 Miss Universe pageant, finishing as a finalist in the Miss Russia competition that year.
Following her passing, her modeling agency, Modus Vivendis, expressed their sorrow in a statement on social media. They remembered her as a bright and talented individual who inspired those around her: “For us, she will forever remain a symbol of beauty, kindness, and inner strength.”
