Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Indian-Origin Family in West Virginia

In a heartbreaking incident, four members of an Indian-origin family lost their lives in a car accident while traveling in West Virginia. The family was reported missing during their journey to a spiritual site.

The victims have been identified as Dr. Kishore Divan, Asha Divan, Shailesh Divan, and Gita Divan. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office confirmed their tragic passing on social media, stating, “Marshal County Sheriff Mike Dougherty has confirmed that the four individuals who were reported missing from Buffalo, New York, have been found deceased following a vehicle crash.”

Authorities reported that their car was discovered around 9:30 PM on Saturday, August 2, off a steep embankment along Big Wheeling Creek Road. The family was driving a light green Toyota Camry with New York license plate EKW2611.

According to police, they were on their way to Pittsburgh and had plans to stay at the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) founder Prabhupada’s Palace of Gold in Moundsville, West Virginia, for their reservation on Tuesday night. Before the accident, a missing person report had been filed in Buffalo, New York.

This tragic event has left the community in shock as they remember the lives lost too soon.
