Vitamin C, ubiquitous in the vibrant palette of fruits and vegetables, stands as another champion in the realm of scar mitigation. This powerful nutrient works wonders by illuminating the skin, boosting collagen production, and aiding in cellular repair. Dr. Rodney emphasizes, “Avoiding the urge to touch or pop pimples is vital; such actions only exacerbate inflammation and elevate the risk of scarring.”

### 3. Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide)

Finally, Vitamin B3, commonly known as niacinamide, appears as a formidable candidate in the quest to alleviate acne marks. This powerhouse nutrient invigorates collagen production while combatting hyperpigmentation, effectively enhancing skin tone and texture. However, it is essential to recognize that these vitamins and minerals, while beneficial, cannot singularly eradicate scars. A holistic approach, ideally under the guidance of a seasoned dermatologist, is paramount.

As Dr. Rodney aptly puts it, treating acne scars is “a gradual process.” While vitamins foster an optimal environment for restoration, the most significant improvements typically stem from professional interventions such as microneedling, laser treatments, and chemical peels.
