Filmmaker Farhan Akhtar is set to begin shooting the much-anticipated Don 3 in January 2026. This project has faced several delays, leading to excitement among fans as production finally ramps up.
A source close to the project shared that the delays were unavoidable. Ranveer Singh, who is taking over the lead role from Shah Rukh Khan, had a tough time initially due to online trolling. To ease the situation, both Farhan and Ranveer decided to wait before moving forward with the film, allowing the online chatter to subside. Additionally, Ranveer required extra time to prepare for a role that involves specific martial arts skills.
Meanwhile, Kiara Advani, who will be starring alongside Ranveer, announced her pregnancy, which further postponed the film’s production. Farhan also had his hands full with his role as Major Shaitan Singh in the war movie 120 Bahadur, which is due for release on November 21, 2025.
