Shah Rukh Khan is back in action with his latest film, King, directed by Siddharth Anand, following the tremendous success of Pathaan. This action thriller is produced by Red Chillies and Marflix, featuring an exciting cast that includes the debuting Suhana Khan along with Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Abhay Verma.
Recent reports indicate that Rani Mukerji has now joined the cast for a significant cameo role alongside Khan. Sources reveal that Rani and SRK’s collaboration on classics like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham has led to this exciting reunion. In King, Rani will portray Suhana Khan’s mother, a character that will be central to the film’s storyline.
This role is expected to require just five days of filming. The decision for Rani to join the project was quick, as she was thrilled about the character’s emotional depth, which adds a rich layer to the narrative.
With the cast now complete, King is gearing up for production, set to kick off in Mumbai on May 20, followed by filming in Europe. The film is anticipated to release in theaters between October and December 2026, with Shah Rukh Khan taking on the role of an assassin, pitted against Abhishek Bachchan.
