Apple Announces Plans for New Stores in India Later This Year

Apple CEO Tim Cook has announced exciting news for fans in India: the company will be opening new retail stores later this year. While he didn’t specify the exact locations, previous reports indicated that the new stores will be located in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, and Noida.

During an Apple earnings call, Cook mentioned, “In retail, along with the two stores we opened recently, we are also looking forward to a new store in the UAE, the launch of our online store in Saudi Arabia, and new retail locations in India later this year.”

Currently, Apple has two retail stores in India: one in the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai and another in Saket, Delhi. These stores had a grand opening in 2023, attracting large crowds eager to purchase the latest Apple products, with Tim Cook present to celebrate.

The opening of these new stores is part of Apple’s strategy to strengthen its presence in India and reduce its dependence on the Chinese market. Last year, the company started manufacturing the iPhone 15 series in India, and this year, it has already begun producing the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max locally, with plans to export them to select countries around the globe.
