ATU Hosts Fun-Filled Halloween Costume Contest for Faculty and Staff

The Arkansas Tech University community came together for a lively Halloween celebration on Thursday, October 29, at the Hull Building Event Center. Staff and faculty showcased their creativity and spirit during the annual Halloween costume contest.

In the competition, the ATU Office of Admissions stole the spotlight in the large group category with their impressive depiction of “RussVegas,” a fun nod to their hometown. Meanwhile, the ATU Office of Accounts Payable took home the trophy for the small group category, delighting everyone with their imaginative costumes paying homage to Dolly Parton’s evolving style throughout the years.

In the individual category, Dr. Debra Murphy captivated the audience with her standout costume as “The Haunt of the Museum,” earning her the top honor.

The event was organized by the ATU Office of Human Resources, which ensured a festive atmosphere for all participants. This Halloween party was not just a chance for fun but also a great way for colleagues to bond and get into the Halloween spirit together.
