In a notable development for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Priyanka Kakkar, the party’s chief national spokesperson, announced her decision to join the Congress on Saturday. She expressed her belief that it is crucial to unite votes rather than allow them to be scattered.

Congress shared the news of Priyanka’s joining through a video on social media platform X. In her message, Kakkar highlighted her desire to reclaim “the Delhi I grew up in.”

“I am joining the Congress party today with great pride because I want back the Delhi that was a part of my childhood. I long for a green, clean, progressive, and safe Delhi. With over ten years of experience in Indian politics, I genuinely believe that only the Congress can bring this vision to life. Rahul Gandhi stands out as an authentic leader; he shows resilience, and it’s essential for us to unite,” she stated.

Kakkar further emphasized, “I’m joining Congress with immense pride. We cannot afford to let votes scatter at this crucial time. We must unite to challenge Gyanesh Kumar and confront the outdated politics of the BJP.”
