India has put forth an exciting proposal to create digital public infrastructure (DPI) repositories aimed at enhancing knowledge-sharing and digital progress among BRICS nations. Additionally, India plans to establish capacity-building centers to help these countries prepare a workforce that is ready for the future.
This proposal was shared during the 12th BRICS Communications Ministers Meeting, where India suggested introducing voluntary and demand-driven pilot programs to roll out DPI solutions across member states.
The envisioned DPI repository will highlight successful models, open platforms, and best practices developed by BRICS nations. This initiative is designed to facilitate knowledge sharing and ignite innovation among member countries.
As part of the pilot projects, countries with more developed DPI technologies would guide others in tackling the unique challenges they face in digital transformation. Participation in these initiatives would be entirely optional and based on demand from the member states.
