Pakistani Juvenile Repatriated After Two Years in India

Bathinda: A young Pakistani boy, who crossed into India illegally, was sent back to Pakistan on Tuesday through the Attari-Wagah border. He had been in an observation home in Faridkot for nearly two years.

The teenager was apprehended in the Hussainiwala area of Ferozepur district in mid-2024. Authorities charged him under the Passport Act and placed him in a Faridkot observation home. He completed his sentence by late 2025.

After serving his time, the case was forwarded to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) for the necessary permissions to repatriate him. Once approval was granted, it was sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), which authorized his return.

Following all official procedures, Chief Judicial Magistrate Gurpreet Kaur approved his release from the observation home. He was then handed over to the Pakistan Rangers at the border.
