Prime Video has recently released the trailer for its new Hindi Original series, The Revolutionaries, giving audiences a look into a historic time. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the series draws inspiration from Sanjeev Sanyal’s book Revolutionaries: The Other Story Of How India Won Its Freedom.
The show features a talented cast, including Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta, and Gurfateh Pirzada, who take on the roles of four young freedom fighters. Supporting characters will be played by Jason Shah, Paoli Dam, and Tota Roy Chowdhury. The Revolutionaries is set to premiere on Prime Video on September 11, 2026.

He remarked, “What attracted me to The Revolutionaries is that it tells a unique story of four young heroes fighting for their beliefs, facing conflicts and a shared bond formed through challenges.” Bam described Bose as a cunning individual who could disguise himself and sneak into British camps, noting that the limited historical references allowed him to interpret the role intuitively.
Rohit Saraf on Sachindra Nath Sanyal
Rohit Saraf shared that taking on the role of Sachindra Nath Sanyal pushed him into new territories. He was intrigued by the contrast between Sanyal’s innocence and his strong ideals. “It’s an honor to depict a real-life hero in our freedom struggle. His childlike innocence combined with unwavering beliefs stuck with me,” Saraf commented. He also mentioned undergoing rigorous training to prepare for the role.

Pratibha Ranta portrays Pratibha Lahiri, who navigates a male-dominated society while trying to find her voice. Ranta said her character’s struggles resonated with her, noting, “Pratibha Lahiri represents a progressive young woman fighting to be heard, a challenge that remains relevant today.” She emphasized wanting to portray her character authentically instead of exaggerating her traits.
Gurfateh Pirzada as Bagha Jatin
Gurfateh Pirzada steps into the role of Bagha Jatin, another pivotal character in the series. He expressed that this project introduced him to a lesser-known chapter of Indian history. “What stood out about Bagha Jatin for me was his quiet strength and the intensity behind his words,” Pirzada shared.
