Arsenal Welcomes Bruno Guimaraes with Exciting Four-Year Deal

Arsenal Football Club has announced the signing of Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United. The Brazilian midfielder has joined on a four-year contract, with the possibility of extending it by another year. Reports indicate that the deal was finalized for around £75 million.

Guimaraes, who is the fourth player Arsenal has brought in this season, follows the permanent signing of Piero Hincapie and the acquisitions of Christos Tzolis and Illan Meslier. His move adds to an already impressive midfield lineup that includes talents like Martin Odegaard, Mikel Merino, Martin Zubimendi, and Declan Rice.

Guimaraes Excited About Joining Arsenal

After the World Cup, Guimaraes expressed his desire to move to Arsenal, highlighting his eagerness to compete for trophies. In a statement on the club’s website, he shared his excitement about working with manager Mikel Arteta.

“I feel great and am ready for this new adventure. From the first conversation with Andrea Berta and Mikel, I felt it was the right move. I’m looking for a fresh challenge in my career, and being at Arsenal feels perfect for that,” he said.

Having competed in two World Cups, Guimaraes believes he’s ready to make a significant impact. “I want to win trophies and create memories here. We have some tough matches ahead, and I’m hopeful we can turn our dreams into reality.”

Support from Teammates

The midfielder revealed that his decision was influenced by conversations with fellow Brazilians, particularly Gabriel Magalhaes, who was enthusiastic about the transfer. “Gabriel kept telling me to join, saying, ‘We’ll wait for you!’ I’m thrilled to join not just the Brazilian players but this incredible squad.”

He also mentioned his chats with Declan Rice, who humorously welcomed him with, “Come here, and let’s be friends.” Guimaraes is eager to form strong connections with his teammates, believing that Arsenal’s midfield is among the best in Europe.

Changes at Newcastle

Guimaraes’ departure is part of a bigger shift at Newcastle United, which has already seen other key players, including Sandro Tonali, leave. Additionally, manager Eddie Howe has stepped down from his position ahead of the new season.

As Arsenal fans eagerly await the new season, Guimaraes’ arrival brings fresh hope and ambition to the team.
