RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande Signs with Real Madrid in Potential €125m Transfer

Real Madrid Signs Rising Star Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig

Real Madrid has announced the signing of talented Ivorian winger Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig. The club made the official confirmation on Thursday.

While the details of the transfer deal haven’t been disclosed, reports from Spain suggest that the total cost could reach 125 million Euros (about 144.3 million US dollars), plus an additional 10 to 15 million Euros tied to his performance. If this information is accurate, Diomande would become Real Madrid’s most expensive player, surpassing the previous record set with Jude Bellingham’s transfer in 2023.

In a statement, Real Madrid confirmed, “We have reached an agreement with RB Leipzig for the transfer of Yan Diomande, who will join us for the next seven seasons, staying until June 30, 2033.”

The 19-year-old Diomande had a fantastic first season in the Bundesliga, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists, helping Leipzig secure a third-place finish and a spot in the upcoming UEFA Champions League. He joined Leipzig from Leganes last year and quickly made a name for himself as one of Europe’s top young talents. He also played for the Ivory Coast in the recent FIFA World Cup, where the team made it to the Round of 32.

His impressive performance at the World Cup caught the attention of other top clubs, including Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain.

This signing marks a significant move for Real Madrid as they look to reshape their squad under manager Jose Mourinho, who returned for a second term in June after a disappointing last season. The team finished second in La Liga and was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

In preparation for the new season, Real Madrid has also added several players, including Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, and Denzel Dumfries. The club is also working on extending Vinicius Jr.’s contract and is competing with Barcelona for Rodri’s signature.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting transfer!
