During a lively discussion with young delegates as part of the IIMUN’s 15th anniversary celebration, Bhagwat said it’s essential to engage with the youth’s questions through logic and compassion. He also endorsed the long-standing demand to allocate 6% of the national budget to education, firmly asserting, “This demand is justified.” He argued that education should not be treated merely as a business venture.
On the topic of social media, Bhagwat cautioned the youth to verify the authenticity of online content, noting how easily fake information can spread. He urged influencers to be mindful of their impact, as their actions can inspire many.
Discussion also touched on affirmative action, where Bhagwat stated that reservation should persist as long as social inequalities exist. He suggested that individuals who have benefited from these policies should step aside for those still in need.
