The first-ever India Hockey 360 Festival wrapped up today, uniting hockey experts and coaches from North America to help promote roller, ball, and ice hockey in India. This two-day event created a platform for participants to learn from international professionals, aiming to enhance the sport’s grassroots development.
The festival provided a valuable connection between India’s hockey community and global organizations, focusing on areas like player development and coaching to raise awareness about the sport. It kicked off with the “Try Ball Hockey” session, where people of all ages engaged in fun, skill-based activities to introduce them to ball hockey.
On the second day, activities included a coaches’ summit, an elite roller hockey clinic, and an exciting 3×3 exhibition at the Sector 10 skating rink, in collaboration with the Ice Hockey Association of India (IHAI). The clinic featured Harry Mahesh, the assistant coach of the Abbotsford Canucks, who shared his expertise with both players and coaches. Joining the event was Randip Janda, an NHL broadcaster, who played a key role as a co-organizer and interacted with participants, reinforcing the festival’s goal of promoting roller, ball, and ice hockey in India.
Notably, the event had the backing of some of the most respected ice hockey organizations worldwide, including the National Hockey League (NHL), Vancouver Canucks, and Bauer Hockey, along with the IHAI and other partners dedicated to the global growth of the sport.
