Ranbir Kapoor Exits Dhoom 4, YRF to Seek New Casting
Ranbir Kapoor was once set to be the villain in the much-anticipated Dhoom 4, part of the hit Dhoom franchise. However, recent reports indicate that he has chosen to withdraw from the project. Sources suggest that discussions around the film have come to a standstill, leading to this surprising decision.
Initially, Dhoom 4 was supposed to be directed by Ayan Mukerji. Yet, after the success of War 2, Aditya Chopra decided to change the director. Despite this, Ranbir remained involved, hoping for clearer direction from Chopra. After multiple discussions, he ultimately decided to move on from the franchise. Insiders reveal that Ranbir was not satisfied with the script, which played a key role in his choice.
While trade sources claim that the script for Dhoom 4 is still being perfected and no one has been officially cast yet, other insiders assert that Ranbir’s departure means YRF will have to consider new talent once the script is finalized. Meanwhile, Ranbir is preparing for his upcoming films, including Ramayana, slated for release this Diwali, and Love & War, which is set to premiere on Republic Day.
