As we approach the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in just five days, fans are buzzing with excitement. Advance ticket sales are soaring, suggesting that this superhero film could achieve one of the highest opening-day collections in India’s cinematic history. To match the hype, the studio has decided to set the ticket prices at a premium rate.
Reports indicate that the studio has informed exhibitors that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is anticipated to be one of the biggest films not only of the season but of the entire year. They are implementing a “mega-blockbuster” pricing strategy to reflect this excitement.
This pricing strategy has been applied to other films that generated similar buzz, such as Pushpa 2 – The Rule and Dhurandhar The Revenge. Advance bookings have already started, and the ticket prices reflect the high demand. Many cinemas are charging over Rs. 300, with some premium screenings reaching into the four-digit range. However, a few theatres, like Gaiety-Galaxy and Maratha Mandir in Mumbai, are offering tickets at more reasonable prices, starting at Rs. 180 and Rs. 200, respectively.
At the G7 multiplex, known as Gaiety-Galaxy, fans can still catch Spider-Man: Brand New Day at these lower rates. Both theatres will present the film’s 2D Hindi version, making them some of the few places in Mumbai to find tickets priced below Rs. 200.
If you prefer an English version, MovieTime Dahisar offers tickets for Rs. 220 for the 10:30 am show. Funcity Big Cinema in Ulhasnagar is another option, with tickets priced at Rs. 240 for the 2:15 pm English show. The iconic Regal cinema in South Mumbai is also a choice, with stall tickets available for Rs. 250.
For those looking for 3D presentations, Gold Thane, Gold Borivali, and Tilak Dombivali are offering 10:00 am shows for Rs. 200. Even with the slight increase in price for English 3D formats, Ajanta Cinex Borivali is offering the most affordable tickets at Rs. 200 for the 10:00 am show.
As demand continues to rise, many cinemas have indicated they will adjust their prices accordingly, following a dynamic pricing model.
