Aampere Secures €4.2 Million to Boost Electric Vehicle Sales Platform
Munich, Germany – Aampere, a company specializing in the sale of used electric vehicles, has successfully raised €4.2 million in its latest funding round. This round was led by Trind Ventures, a prior investor, and included Vend Marketplaces, known for platforms like FINN.no, Blocket, and Bilbasen, as a new minority investor.
This funding marks Aampere’s second public investment round in less than a year, following an earlier €1.6 million boost in October 2025. The used electric vehicle market in Germany is currently expanding more rapidly compared to new car sales.
Founded by three engineers from TU Munich in 2022, Aampere has already sold thousands of electric vehicles and reports a remarkable fourfold increase in revenue over the past year.
Aampere’s latest funding round values the company at over €20 million, though specific figures remain confidential. Increased participation from Gimic amounts to €660,000, divided between equity and a convertible loan agreement.
Vend Mobility’s interest highlights a strategic approach, potentially enhancing its listings or protecting against competition for electric vehicle sellers.
Founders’ Backgrounds Key to Aampere’s Vision
Florian Reister, one of Aampere’s founders, completed a master’s degree in automotive engineering before gaining valuable experience at sicher-autokaufen.de, a platform for assessing used cars. This experience proves instrumental in Aampere’s mission to address buyer concerns about electric vehicle battery health.
Reister states, “Electromobility is gaining traction in Europe, but the secondary market for used EVs remains disorganized. Aampere is creating a platform that ensures used electric cars find the right buyers quickly and efficiently.”
How Aampere Operates and Competes
The platform allows both private and commercial sellers to utilize an advanced pricing algorithm, complete a detailed vehicle condition check, and participate in dealer auctions across Europe. Sellers receive purchase offers within 48 hours, and Aampere manages vehicle collection logistics.
Aampere’s model mirrors that of Auto1’s dealer auction system, setting it apart from conventional listing platforms like AutoScout24 or heycar.
Aampere is not alone in this growing market. Eccasion, another dedicated used EV platform, recently raised €3.2 million and focuses on areas that general used-car platforms may overlook.
David Hoffmann from Vend Mobility noted, “We see electric vehicle adoption accelerating in the Nordics. Aampere is addressing the inventory challenges, and we are thrilled to support their expansion.”
Market Trends Driving Rapid Funding
Recent data from Germany’s Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) shows that transfers of used electric vehicle ownership have surged, outpacing new car sales. This accelerates investor interest in Aampere, which reports a consistent 60% annual growth over the past three years.
Aampere has quadrupled its revenue since last October, contributing to a significant valuation increase. Partner at Trind Ventures, Taavi Lepmets, commended the founders for their remarkable growth and improving customer experience.
Aampere now employs over 25 staff and sells thousands of vehicles every year. The new funds will help the company attract more sellers and expand into additional European markets. As the used electric vehicle sector continues to grow, Aampere remains well-positioned among competitors in this expanding opportunity.
It remains to be seen whether the quick succession of funding rounds indicates rapid growth or if investors are aiming to deter emerging rivals. However, Aampere suggests that the timing of these rounds was a strategic decision to establish their market presence first before seeking additional funds.
