Amaal Mallik has recently stirred controversy with a pointed message aimed at music composer Tanishk Bagchi. In a detailed post on social media, Amaal accused Tanishk of misleading practices and taking credit for songs that are not his own, referring to him as “Mr. Remix & Destroyer of Originals.”
The tension appears to have escalated after Tanishk claimed he hadn’t received royalty payments for the title track of the film Saiyaara. Amaal seized this moment to question Tanishk’s focus on Yash Raj Films when he has frequently stated that T-Series owes him money. He expressed confusion about the double standard, especially since T-Series is considered to have a strong position in the industry.
Amaal went further, alleging that Tanishk had secured the song Saiyaara by taking it from original creators Faheem Abdullah and Arsalan Nizami. He hinted that if he were to reveal details about how the song was obtained, it would expose Tanishk’s actions.
In his post, Amaal also made allegations about Tanishk copying rhythms from various sources, claiming that singer Jubin Nautiyal chose to stay quiet due to his professional ties. “You’re a bloody thief; even your original works aren’t original,” Amaal added, criticizing Tanishk’s work ethic.
Amaal did not hold back, saying that Tanishk has used paid publicity tactics against him, implying that the funds for these campaigns are misused. He suspects that rival groups within the industry are working to undermine his upcoming project, Awarapan 2, and its soundtrack.
Despite the ongoing drama, Amaal recently expressed gratitude for the positive reception of his latest song, urging listeners to give music time to resonate. He mentioned that a significant PR effort from industry rivals aimed to impact both the film and its music, but he is confident that audiences will ultimately choose the path for his work.
Amaal ended his post with a strong warning, asserting that he will not be easily threatened. As of now, Tanishk has not publicly addressed these allegations.
