The 72nd National Film Awards were announced by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at the National Media Centre in New Delhi on Friday. Among the winners, Srikanth – Aa Raha Hai Sabki Aankhein Kholne received the award for Best Hindi Feature Film. These awards celebrate films that were certified during 2024.
Srikanth, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani, tells the inspiring story of Srikanth Bolla, a visually impaired entrepreneur who founded Bollant Industries. The film, directed by Tushar Hiranandani, features Rajkummar Rao in the lead role, alongside notable performances by Jyotika and Alaya F.
In response to the award, producer Bhushan Kumar expressed his pride: “This story needed to be shared, and we are honored it has received this prestigious recognition. This award belongs to the entire team who believed in portraying Srikanth Bolla’s remarkable journey with sincerity. We are thankful to the National Film Awards jury for this honor.”
Director Tushar Hiranandani also shared his joy, stating, “Creating Srikanth has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my career. This award pays tribute to Srikanth Bolla’s inspiring life and to all those who dedicated themselves to this project.”
Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani, another producer, added, “This recognition is deeply meaningful because Srikanth was crafted with a lot of love and belief. It celebrates a story that encourages everyone to dream without limits, and we are overjoyed it has received this distinction.”
The film highlights Srikanth Bolla’s determination and courage in overcoming his challenges and showcases Rajkummar Rao’s celebrated performance.
Produced under T-Series Films and Chalk N Cheese Films LLP, the National Film Award further elevates Srikanth, celebrating its impact on Indian cinema and its heartfelt storytelling.
