In September 2028, Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh is set to welcome Google’s new AI Hub, an impressive $15 billion project aimed at enhancing artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure. This initiative is being developed by Raiden Infotech, a subsidiary of Google, in collaboration with AdaniConnex and Airtel’s Nxtra. The groundbreaking ceremony took place earlier this April, led by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
In addition to Google’s hub, the government has allocated 855 acres in Bhogapuram, located in the neighboring Vizianagaram district, to Reliance Industries for a large 1.5 GW data center. Furthermore, there are several upcoming projects in the area, including a 500 MW facility that Sify is developing in partnership with Meta.
