Marquette County Workshop Aims to Help Local Business Owners Attract Talent

MARQUETTE, Mich. – Local business owners gathered on Tuesday morning for a workshop focused on attracting talent in today’s job market. The session, titled “HR Challenges,” was organized by the Lake Superior Community Partnership and led by Nikki Rogers, President and CEO of Link Recruiter.

During the workshop, Rogers discussed the modern hiring landscape, sharing insights on what candidates seek in a job and how businesses can enhance their appeal to potential employees.

Lindsay Bean, Outreach and Development Specialist with LSCP, expressed her hopes that small business owners could gain valuable knowledge from the experiences of larger companies. “Not every small business has had the chance to work in a large department, so there are often insights they might not be aware of,” she noted. “Every workplace and industry is unique, and sharing these experiences is really beneficial.”

LSCP is also planning to host another workshop focused on cybersecurity in the near future, showing their commitment to supporting local businesses in various areas.

Stay tuned for more updates on upcoming events and resources for local businesses.
