Tragic Shooting Incident in Cobb County: Former Google Executive Killed
In a heartbreaking incident, Indian American Sheetal Wrzesien, a former Google executive, was tragically shot and killed by her husband in Cobb County, Georgia, according to local news reports.
The shooting occurred at their home on Laurel Creek Trail and also left their son, Jason, injured. Kirk B. Wrzesien, Sheetal’s 56-year-old husband, was taken into custody on Tuesday night at the family’s residence, near Atlanta.
Neighbors expressed their shock at the sudden violence. Joanne Anderson, a longtime resident of the area, shared, “I didn’t know what was happening. It was such a surprise.”
Cobb County Police responded to calls about gunfire shortly before 8 p.m. When they arrived, they found Sheetal, 57, with serious injuries from multiple gunshots. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kirk Wrzesien is now facing serious charges, including felony murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and two counts of possessing a firearm during a crime. He is being held without bail at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
This tragic event has left the community in shock and mourning.
