The team behind Ramayana has launched a new initiative aimed at connecting students with the timeless stories of the Indian epic before the movie hits theaters. This school outreach program kicks off on July 9 and is set to reach over 400 schools in 18 cities, engaging around five lakh students through various educational and creative activities.

In an effort to make the epic relatable, the program includes drawing competitions, quizzes, and interactive discussions, allowing young audiences to delve into the themes and characters of Ramayana. The hope is to spark meaningful conversations among children and their families about the cultural importance of this legendary tale.

The creators of the initiative shared their vision, stating, “Ramayana has been cherished across generations through its stories and values. With this outreach, we aim to present that legacy to young minds in a captivating way.” They emphasized the importance of experiencing the epic not just as mythology but as a narrative filled with courage, duty, love, and righteousness that continues to inspire.

The activities planned under this initiative focus on creative expression instead of traditional marketing methods. Students will engage with the epic through art, quizzes, and discussions, learning about its characters and the core values it represents. Built around the theme “Hamara Satya. Hamara Itihaas,” the program aims to instill a sense of connection between younger audiences and this vital part of India’s cultural heritage.

This school outreach is part of a larger promotional strategy for Ramayana, which is being directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in partnership with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. The film is set to be a grand cinematic adaptation of the epic, featuring a star-studded cast, including Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.

Fans can look forward to the first part of the film debuting in theaters around Diwali 2026, followed by the second part a year later, both projected for IMAX release.
