New Delhi: IRCTC Set to Enhance Train Ticket Booking Experience
Booking train tickets online is about to get a lot easier with the upcoming launch of the revamped IRCTC website. The Indian Railways announced on Friday that a beta version of the new site will be available soon, featuring a user-friendly layout free of annoying captchas, pop-ups, and distracting graphics.
According to a statement from the Railway Board, the new site will offer several improvements. Users will be able to view seat availability for all classes of coaches, and the checkout process will be quicker, with fewer steps required to complete a booking. Additionally, the site will help frequent travelers by allowing them to save their details for easier repeat bookings.
On Friday, IRCTC officials met with students from the Malaviya National Institute of Technology in Jaipur to gather more feedback ahead of the beta launch. The students had previously highlighted issues with the current site, prompting the Railways to commit to this upgrade on July 15.
