New Music Directors Debut in YRF’s Alpha
The famous music director pair, Jatin-Lalit, has left a lasting mark on Bollywood with their memorable tunes from the 1990s and early 2000s. Known for their hit soundtracks in films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Mohabbatein (2000), and Fanaa (2006), their legacy continues with the next generation.
Recently, it was announced that Rohansh and Abeer Pandit, sons of Lalit Pandit, composed the music for Yash Raj Films’ new release, Alpha. This marks the brothers’ first venture into film music.
Actor and producer Viveck Vaswani shared this exciting news through a Facebook post. He praised the duo’s modern sound, saying, “It was a treat watching Alpha with the talented debut music directors Rohansh and Abeer. The music is fresh, energetic, and perfect for the film’s action scenes.” Vaswani also posted a picture of the brothers with their father at the YRF preview.
Interestingly, Rohansh and Abeer are credited in the film simply as Rohansh and Abeer, which might lead some viewers to miss their connection to the renowned Jatin-Lalit duo.
The soundtrack of Alpha includes songs like “Massacre,” “Champagne,” “Haaniya,” “Agni,” “Vaar Vaar,” “Shadows,” and “Rola Paen De.” The brothers also composed themes featured in key moments of the film, enhancing the emotional impact of scenes, including those starring Hrithik Roshan.
The Pandit brothers initially garnered attention in 2023 with their peaceful anthem “Coming Home,” produced by Warner Bros.
A Glimpse at Jatin-Lalit
Jatin-Lalit started their journey in music with the film Yaara Dildara (1991) and crafted many unforgettable songs in popular films such as Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992), Khiladi (1992), Khamoshi: The Musical (1996), and more, culminating in their last collaboration for Fanaa.
